THE SECURITY CLUB
Testing & Tagging
Why test and tag?
Over the past decade there has been a major emphasis placed on the welfare of employees and public (Duty of Care), and as a result standards have been set regarding the testing and tagging of electrical equipment.
These standards (AS/NZS 3760:2003 In-Service Safety Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment) have been introduced to assist in eliminating the numerous accidents that occur each year from electric shocks caused by faulty and misused electrical equipment (1317 electric shocks reported to Energy Safety 2005/06).
The lack of available Tradespeople, especially within the electrical trade, means it has become increasingly harder to find electricians and contractors to undertake the inspection and testing of such equipment. And that's where we come in.

Traditionally, equipment such as power tools were the main items tested. But using the latest technology it is now possible to test electronic equipment such as computers, monitors, faxes, copiers & printers where as in the past these items could only be checked visually.
The Security Club uses this technology to ensure the best possible testing techniques and service, helping to eliminate the possibility of equipment being out of service for excessive periods.
And we will provide you with a comprehensive report providing a valuable tool for asset recording. We can offer other services such as the testing of Emergency Exit Signs and Residual Current Devices (RCD’s) to ensure the devices installed to protect your employees do their job.
